HAIR
Using a 3.5mm hook and brown dk attach it between the 1st and 2nd red row of the hat.  Start over the right eye.
Hair tresses:

Repeat from * to * three more times
Fasten off and secure tightly. Twist each hair tress

HAT BRIM
Using 4mm hook and green dk chain 49 + 1 (you need to make your chain long enough to go around the brim of the hat.  If you need to make yours long or shorter make sure it is a number that can be divided by 7 + 1)
Row 1: starting 2nd ch from hook dc into every st, ch 1, turn (49 sts)
Row 2 & 3: repeat row 1
Row 4: *1 x dc, 1 x hdc, 1 x trb, 1 x dtrb, picot stitch, 1 x trb, 1 x hdc, 1 x dc* repeat from * to * a further 6 times.
