My new Flippies range give you two toys in one. This Flippie features a happy swimming buddy duo of Hippo and Crocodile. Hippo has goggles and snorkel and looks sweet in a stripy blue and white swimsuit. Crocodile is content lying in the mud taking in the sun. Croc features include big eyes, iconic nose ridges and back bumps You can make your own Flippie combo’s by using my various designs, so mix and match to your hearts content. Flippies are made in the traditional style of Amigurumi crochet in parts and in rows in others.

Flippies are made using a DK wool on a 3.5mm hook Finished height is 30cm (12″)

Abbreviations: THIS PATTERN IS WRITTEN IN UK TERMS
Ch – chain
dc – double crochet (sc)
htb – half treble (hdc)
trb – treble (dc)
sl st – slip stitch
BLO – back loop only
inc – increase
invdec – invisible decrease (insert hook, yarn over, insert hook in next dc yarn over, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops)
Magic ring – this starting method gives a neat finish.

Toy stuffing
100g grey dk & green dk
50g blue dk & cream dk
Oddments of pink dk, white, light green, yellow
8mm & 10mm eyes
grey embroidery thread
Craft wire and little bit of plastic (optional as used for the snorkel)
