Guardsman

This little Guardsman is the first of my Egg Head funny character range. He stands proudly in his smart uniform with gleaming gold buttons and bright white straps. He has his iconic hat and big black boots. This pattern is simple and quick and a good introduction to making amigurumi toys.

This Guardsman is made in the traditional style of Amigurumi crochet in rounds.

Little Guardsman is made using a DK yarn on a 3.5mm hook. Finished height is 8.5″

Materials we have used are:
3.5mm hook
Stitch marker
Toy stuffing
8mm eyes
Little bit of white felt
25g of Black, Red and Beige DK
Oddments of White 4ply & DK
Craft wire
Gold & Black embroidery thread.

This pattern is not hard to make: you will need to be familiar with the following techniques
Ch – chain
dc – double crochet (sc)
inc – increase
invdec – invisible decrease
Magic ring
